TetherGeist - Indie Game Music Contest (Electronic Version)

Contest Entry for the sweet indie game "TetherGeist".
Indie Game Music Contest - April 2025

The soundtrack is built in a modular way: it consists of multiple layers and sections that can be flexibly faded in and out depending on the gameplay situation and level progression. All building blocks of a level function independently but layer harmonically and rhythmically without getting in each other’s way. I aimed to create a beautiful and engaging stereo image that stays interesting and doesn’t become annoying too quickly. All in all, Marc wanted to compose a soundtrack that blends naturally into the game, feels fresh and engaging, yet still brings depth, atmosphere, and structure. Despite being purely electronic, the music is meant to convey a warm, magical, and unique character.

TetherGeist - Indie Game Music Contest (Orchestral Version)

Second Contest Entry for the sweet indie game "TetherGeist".
Indie Game Music Contest - April 2025

For this one, Lukas wanted to create a sense of mystery and wonder that flows naturally with the game's pacing and visual style. Lukas built the score on an orchestral foundation to give it emotional weight and a sense of progression, but blended in layers of synth textures to bring out a more modern, atmospheric tone. The synths added color and helped shape a unique identity for the game's world, while keeping the overall feeling cohesive and immersive. To support the gameplay more directly, Lukas used in-game triggers to bring instruments in and out at specific moments, allowing the music to respond dynamically to what’s happening on screen.
